Melissa Libby

Melissa Libby, Lead Special Education Teacher

Melissa has a wealth of experience in special education, having worked in this field since 2004. Her career began at a special-purpose private school that catered to students with emotional and behavioral needs. From there, Melissa went on to work as a BHP in local group homes, where she helped to support individuals with a range of disabilities. In addition to this, Melissa has also worked as an in-home support worker in neighboring communities. Throughout her career, Melissa has demonstrated a deep commitment to helping individuals with special needs and has gained a reputation for her hard work and dedication. Her hard work and commitment to making a difference have touched the lives of many, and she serves as an excellent example of the positive impact one person can have on their community.

Carrie Crouse

Carrie Crouse, Ed Tech II & BHP

Carrie's dedication and passion for special education are evident in her extensive work experience and community involvement. Since 2015, she has been actively involved in supporting youth as an in-home support staff in special services. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others has led her to take on various roles within her community, including serving as a member of the Saco Grange and Director of the Community Clothing Closet.

In addition, Carrie's compassionate nature extends to her work as a childcare provider for a foster/adoptive parent support group. She has provided much-needed support to families who have opened their hearts and homes to children in need through her involvement in this group. Her efforts have significantly impacted the lives of these families and the children they have taken in.

Overall, Carrie's dedication to special education and her community is truly inspiring.

Craig Chamberlain

Craig Chamberlain, Ed Tech II

Craig is a dedicated individual who has been working in the field of special education since 2009. Over the years, he has held positions in many schools in the district, including Biddeford Middle School, Biddeford Intermediate School, and Biddeford High School. Currently, he is part of the Bridges Transition Program, where he continues to make a difference in students' lives.

Apart from his contributions to the education sector, Craig is also actively involved in sports and community service. He is the head coach of both the Unified Basketball and Bocce Ball Team (GO Tigers!) and plays a crucial role in facilitating all the Special Olympic events within BHS. Craig's love for sports is also reflected in his role as a baseball umpire, where he contributes to the local community.

In addition to his sports involvement, Craig has served the community and the country in many capacities. His service to the US Air Force and the US Postal Service (29 years) is commendable. Moreover, he has also been an active blood and platelet donor, contributing to the cause of saving lives. Lastly, through his various roles, Craig has made a significant impact on the lives of people around him, and his contributions are truly appreciated.
