Teaching and Early Education Instructor

Deb Newman’s journey to BRCOT began when she left the banking field and opened a child care center where she taught children from infancy to school age. She followed a path in early childhood education to Biddeford Schools, where she taught kindergarten for more than 20 years, while occasionally mentoring intern students and new teachers.  Her love of travel led her to teach in Abu Dhabi for a year where she mentored pre-K and Kindergarten English teachers in a public school setting.  She holds a BA degree from USM and an MsEd from UNE and continues to be a lifelong learner.  Outside of teaching, she enjoys outdoor activities, exploring new  cultures & cuisines, and traveling.
